The newest member of the Galaxy family seems somewhat familiar as Samsung rehashes an old favourite...
?
Samsung has announced the newest member of its very popular Galaxy range of phones. But, before you all get excited, this is not the Galaxy S4, but simply an upgraded Galaxy S2 running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Named simply the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus, everything seems to be exactly the same as the phone that was released with great fanfare 11 months ago. Although - take note connectivity fans - you'll find NFC packaged into this version.
Even if the S2 is close to celebrating its second birthday is can still keep up with the latest releases. With a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8-megapixel camera it's by no means a slouch - and would be the perfect first smartphone.
We at T3.com gave the S2 a five star review, so we are sure the S2 Plus will have only been improved by the update to Jelly Bean and the addition of NFC. Unfortunately Samsung hasn't seen fit to hit us up with any prices or shipping dates as of yet. We'll keep you posted though.
