I talked a bit about why I think capturing pregnancy through photography is important in my last post, so I won?t go into that again here. ?Right now, all I want to do is share Meghan & Patrick?s Berks County maternity pictures with you. ?Meghan & Patrick?s first session in their baby plan (4 sessions over the course of their baby?s first year ? contact me for details if you?re interested) took place on a warm, sunny March morning.
Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site is one of my favorite places to shoot due to the abundance of color and texture and combination of nature and old rustic buildings, so we met there to take these pictures and document this time of joy and and anticipation in their lives.
I met with Meghan and Patrick earlier today to go over their images and help them think through which ones might look best in their home. ?At these sessions, my clients choose which ones are their favorites and we discuss display options. ?Meghan asked me which ones were?my favorites, and so I?m happy to show you these now? enjoy, M&P! ?Cant wait for the newborn shoot!
If you?ve been following this blog for any length of time at all, you?ll see that one of the things I really love to do when I can is shoot through tall grass. ?Something about it really adds to the pictures.
Sometimes a grab shot like this one turns into something special. ?I believe Meghan was simply adjusting her shirt, but the way the light caught her hair and the motion in the picture caught my eye.
Ahhh? late afternoon light. ?You can?t beat it. ?Once Hopewell Furnace closed, we headed over to French Creek State Park for a few additional pictures, like the ones below.
Congratulations again, you two! ?Can?t wait to meet the little one!
