LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Fox is betting that Ryan Reynolds will deliver a hit for them.
The network has struck a pilot deal for "All In," a single-camera comedy about a compulsive gambler, an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap.
Fox has given the project, which comes via Reynolds' DarkFire TV and 20th Century Fox Television, a put-pilot commitment, meaning that the network will pay substantial penalties if the pilot does not air.
"All In" will be executive-produced by Reynolds with Allan Loeb, his partner at DarkFire TV. Loeb will write the project. DarkFire's Jonathon Komack Martin and Steven Pearl will also executive-produce.
Last year, DarkFire sold a single-camera comedy, "Guidance," to Fox.
Loeb, who wrote the short-lived drama "New Amsterdam," which aired on Fox, penned the upcoming Miley Cyrus film "So Undercover."
Deadline first reported the news of the "All In" pilot deal.
